ENTERTAINMENT lovers across Manicaland are spoilt for choice this weekend, with top dancehall artistes, live bands, DJs and pool tournaments lining up a packed entertainment calendar stretching from Mutare to Chigodora and beyond.
Whether one prefers a laid-back afternoon accompanied by live music, a competitive social atmosphere around the pool table, or an all-night dance experience with friends, the province’s nightlife have assembled a diverse menu of attractions designed to keep the jolly spirit alive.
Liquor Star
All roads lead to Chigodora tonight where popular Zimdancehall stars, Culture Love and Hwindi President headline the official opening of Liquor Star, also known as BnB Store. Mutare-based artiste, Lionel “Caff” Matanda will provide supporting entertainment. Culture Love is expected to thrill fans with crowd favourites including “Uri Wangu”, “Musikana Wandaida”, “Kudzora Ndangariro” and “Dhudhudzai”, while Hwindi President is set to entertain revellers with popular hits such as “Pandatadza” and “Ndakusuwa”.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
Music lovers are in for a thrilling weekend at the entertainment joint situated at Boka Business Centre in Dangamvura. Fierce Friday kicks off the action with crowd favourites, DJ Stixxie and DJ Popinjo delivering a high-energy mix guaranteed to keep revellers on the dancefloor well into the night.
The excitement continues with Aristocrats Saturday, offering premium entertainment, good vibes and a stylish atmosphere for party lovers looking to elevate their weekend experience.
The curtain comes down with Stacked Sunday, featuring the popular Nostalgic Sunday Old School Session, where timeless classics and throwback hits provide the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed but memorable finish to the weekend.

Amarv (Pa Gerry)
Pool enthusiasts and music lovers converge at Amarv this Saturday for a Black Label Pool Tournament expected to draw players from across Manicaland. As competitors battle it out on the tables, a line-up of DJs will keep the atmosphere lively with a blend of old-school favourites and contemporary chart-toppers. Entertainment starts at midday and continues deep into Sunday morning, making it one of the weekend’s longest-running events.
Bistro
Jazz lovers have something to look forward to this Sunday at Bistro, the popular uptown venue known for combining fine dining with quality live entertainment. A local jazz outfit will take centre stage, serenading patrons with smooth melodies and soulful rhythms while guests enjoy meals and refreshments in a relaxed setting. Madziro
The party atmosphere shifts to the Mutare-Chimanimani Highway where DJ Candyman takes charge of the decks at the spacious joint. Known for his crowd-pleasing selections and ability to read the mood of revellers, DJ Candyman is expected to deliver a lively set featuring a mix of dancehall, house music and urban grooves.
Plus 44 Connect
The heartbeat of Dora grows louder this weekend as Plus 44 Connect hosts a packed entertainment programme. Saturday promises a polished mix of throwback hits and current chart-toppers guaranteed to keep the dancefloor buzzing. On Sunday, Zincyard takes over, raising the tempo with energetic performances and crowd-pleasing sounds to deliver a fitting finale to the weekend festivities.

Club Mandisa
The watering hole rounds off the entertainment guide with a packed line-up beginning with Friday’s Booze and Meet the Vixens event, where patrons will have an opportunity to socialise and mingle from 9pm until late. The excitement continues on Saturday with a belated festive holiday party expected to attract fun-seekers from across the city.
