AN elderly woman from Entumbane who lives with her two granddaughters, Mellisa Tshuma and Noxolo Ncube, is praying for better days because she cannot stand the constant torture by her two granddaughters that she is “responsible” for their bad luck.
A source close to the scene said the family was heard through walls during the day on Friday shouting at the top of their voices accusing their granny of bewitching them.
“They kept insulting and calling her names saying she was lonely because she had bewitched and sent away everyone who cared for her,” said the source.
The source said Tshuma and Ncube who were focused on shaming their grandmother had each been for a while hoping for marriage but their hopes were shattered by boyfriends who would leave them after a short period of dating.
“As their argument got heated, the duo screamed at their grandmother and blamed her for their failed relationships saying if it wasn’t for her they would probably be married,” said the source.
The grandmother who couldn’t take in the words she was receiving from her granddaughters reportedly said nothing but sobbed and begged them to stop.
“She was silently crying the whole time begging them to stop. It seemed to infuriate the girls even more as they believed that she was using crocodile tears to fool them,” said the source.
The source said two days later, the granny known as MaSithole was seen leaving with bags. No one knows where she went.
The accused duo confirmed that their grandmother wasn’t around and had gone to visit in the rural areas. They could neither deny nor confirm having had a fight with her.
“I would advise you to go back to the person that has been feeding you all this information to give you your comment since it seems they know everything that happened on that day,” said Tshuma.
