A BINDURA farmer’s life has been dramatically changed for the worse as she battles the scars inflicted by a car accident she was involved in five years ago.

Loveness Makomo (60), who stays alone at Simoona Farm in Bindura, said she suffered a hip fracture, making it difficult for her to move and conduct her duties.

Her husband passed away and her children are all married.

“I was involved in an accident in 2018 coming from Bindura. Since then, I can’t properly or do any house chores.

“I a farmer and could take care of myself without any problems but, now, that is impossible.

“I need US$1 800 for hip replacement and US$3 490 for medical bills, and I can only dream about that kind of money.”

She added:

“My daughters cannot provide everything I need, including hospital bills.

“I pray that good Samaritans come to my aid and assist me in any way they can.

“I get assistance from a relative who lives close by, but it is also difficult for them at times.”
