SCOTTISH side Hamilton Academical have paid tribute to Zimbabwe international, David Moyo, for his services to the club.
The 27-year-old forward, who became a fan favourite at the Accies, is leaving the club to pursue interests elsewhere.
He spent three years at the club, scoring 14 times in 98 appearances.
A statement, released by the club, said:
“The club have reached an agreement with David Moyo to release him from his contract in order to allow him to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
“David, who started with Northampton Town, joined us from St Albans three years ago.
“In his time with us he scored 14 goals from 93 appearances, famously netting winners against Motherwell and Rangers ensuring his popularity amongst our supporters.’
The club added:
“During his spell here, he was also capped four times by Zimbabwe.
“He was also supposed to be in camp this week with the squad for the Warriors Afcon qualifiers against Liberia and South Africa next week if Zimbabwe were not banned for the tournament by FIFA.
“David departs with our thanks for his time here, and our best wishes for the future.”
The lanky forward was part of the Zimbabwe squad at the 2021 AFCON qualifiers in Cameroon.
