ACCREDITATION for the 23rd Zanu PF National People’s Conference is now in full swing, with teams deployed across the country to ensure that only duly approved delegates attend the conference.

The Herald on Thursday witnessed a long, winding queue of delegates, service providers and members of the media seeking accreditation at the Zanu PF headquarters in Harare.

In an interview on the sidelines of the Central Committee meeting, Zanu PF Director for Information and Publicity Cde Farai Marapira said accreditation of delegates attending the conference was going on smoothly.

Delegates are excited to attend the annual indaba, which is held on a rotational basis.

“Accreditation has started well. The teams have been in the provinces accrediting members for attendance at this year’s 23rd National People’s Conference” said Cde Marapira.

“Things are all ahead of time, all preparations are essentially ahead of time and everything is moving smoothly.”

He highlighted that accreditation of party delegates started last week across the country’s 10 provinces.

“As a party, we are handling everything in a timeous way—we are not rushing. The party continues to streamline its processes and ensure that we do everything as professionally as possible,” said Cde Marapira.

Further, he said: “So this is going to be a wonderful conference. People are upbeat and looking forward to this get-together. They are especially excited to celebrate our wins and plan for the next year under the leadership of President Mnangagwa.”

The party will also hold a business expo which will run concurrently with the conference.

“We also have a lot of business coming in to register for the Business Expo and we are seeing an even larger number coming to register this year’s Expo,” he said.

He urged the business community to come and enjoy the conference.

“We encourage any other businesses willing to join the others in celebrating the achievements under the leadership of President Mnangagwa and ZANU-PF to register as soon as possible. This will help ensure a fully subscribed conference that reflects all walks of life, all sectors of our economy, all beliefs, and each and every one of us,” he said.
