Action returns to Borrowdale

ACTION returns to Borrowdale Racecourse on Saturday after a six-week break with seven races on the card. The domestic racing industry is fresh from a seasonal break, since July 30, and action will resume with the Commander Airforce of Zimbabwe Borrowdale Sprint as the main race. AFZ Borrowdale Sprint will be run over 1000 metres and Bridget Stidolph has a strong hand with Coachella, Super Good and Life Is Good, all nominated for the 2017/18 Spey Bridge Champion Sprinter award, and Flanders, who shares bottom weight with Road To Dubai. The six runners will battle it out for the $8 000 purse where the winner’s purse is $4 800 while the second, third and fourth places will each receive $1 600, $1 000 and $600.
