ACTRESS DONATES PADS TO GOKWE STUDENTS

ACTRESS and comedienne, Anna “Chibaby” Honde, has donated over 300 packets of sanitary pads to four schools in Gokwe.

The beneficiaries were students at Katamba Primary School, Katamba Secondary School, Kajirivanda Primary School and Kajirivanda Secondary.

“I know the feeling yekushandisa madhende,” she said.

“I used them kunyanya 2008 zvinhu zvakaoma and I vowed that given an opportunity I will start my pads drive to fight period poverty.

“This is the beginning of bigger things, I am elated I can make a difference.”

The beneficiaries were thankful.

“This is a great gesture we have received today and this has boosted our confidence during our menstrual cycles,” said one student.

Each child took home three packets.
