His elder brother Madinda, confirmed the programme last night.
The father of two died in a horrific car crash on Sunday morning that also claimed the life of 24-year-old female passenger Nomqhele Tshili, a few kilometres from Victoria Falls while his young brother Peter sustained serious injuries.
Tshili was buried yesterday morning at Esiphezini and a number of former Highlanders players attended the burial.
“Adam’s body will leave Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour at 2pm, pass through his shop, go via his last place of employment, Chicken Inn headquarters and then head straight to his home ground Luveve Stadium, where a service will be held,” said Madinda.
Madinda, himself a legend, said his young brother’s body will then depart to 14716 Imbabala Way, Selbourne Park, where it will lie in state until tomorrow morning.
He said at 8am tomorrow, the body will be taken to the Amphitheatre where another service will be held as well as body viewing to allow his former teammates, friends and members of the public to bid him farewell.
“From the Amphitheatre we will take him to his mother in Makokoba and then after that, the body will go to Barbourfields, where he made his name. Adam will then be taken to his final resting place at Lady Stanley Cemetery for burial,” said Madinda.
He said the family was deeply honoured by the City Council gesture to allow Adam to be laid to rest at Lady Stanley, usually reserved for senior citizens and members of the public who have achieved something positive in lives.
Various organisations had called for Adam to be accorded hero’s status.
On his other young brother Peter, still admitted at Mater Dei Hospital, Madinda said he was responding very well to treatment.
“He is ok, recovering fairly well indeed,” said Madinda.
A source at the hospital said Peter made his first step yesterday since the horrific injury on Sunday, a confirmation that he is indeed fighting hard like his elder brother, Madinda said.
“Other than the fractures which are obviously visible, you can not tell that there is anything wrong with Peter, he is a fighter,” said the source.
On Tuesday, Madinda said had it not been for the fractures, the doctors could have discharged the former Highlanders, Coventry City, Birmingham, Sheffield United and Mamelodi Sundowns striker.
