REIGNING Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Simba Bhora squandered an opportunity to close in on leaders, Scottland after scrambling a goalless draw at relegation threatened Triangle yesterday.
The game was rescheduled as Simba Bhora took part in a short-lived CAF Champions League campaign and has brought all teams on 30 games played. There are four remaining matchdays and Simba Bhora have what on paper looks a tougher run-in compared to their main rivals.
On Saturday, Simba Bhora travel to the Baobab Stadium to face a Ngezi Platinum side desperate for three points to stay in the title race and then they return to Wadzanai Stadium to host Highlanders on MatchDay 32. Simba Bhora have failed to either score or win in their last three Premiership matches, drawing 0-0 against Scottland and Triangle while losing 1-0 to CAPS United in between.
This has seen them squander the advantage they held before the start of the CAF Champions League matches.
