Africa Day netball tourney for Bosso

FIVE Bulawayo teams will compete at the Africa Day Highlanders netball team launch mini-tournament to be held at the Clubhouse. Highlanders, who are the hosts and are making a return to the local league, will meet the winner from the four Bulawayo Netball League clubs Delta Sparrows, SRP Bulawayo, Free-Stars and Lobengula Queens in the final.

Precious Mudenge said they are looking forward to a good tournament.

“It’s always good to welcome competition into the league and as a province we’re happy that Highlanders have decided to revive netball. They’ve organised a tournament to mark their arrival and we’ll have four teams that are already in the league joining Highlanders at the competition,” said Mudenge.

Zimbabwe Netball Association chairperson Ruth Hove, the BNA technical director Nozipho Mpofu and former netball players’ representative Sithulile Mlotshwa will officiate at the Bosso launch.

Bulawayo Sports and Recreation Commission coordinator Sam Dzvimbu has also been invited to the tournament.
