It will be a case of old skool music meeting qaya music at Dandaro Inn at the Showgrounds tonight when Huggiez Entertainment shares the stage with Afrika Revenge.

Qaya music masters, Afrika Revenge, have been on a serious mission to reach out to their fans since they reunited last month.

The duo of Willis Wataffi and Mehluli Moyo is already making waves with their new single “Amehlo Ake” that will feature on their first joint album after eight years set for release next month.

The group has so far staged a number of well-attended shows in Harare to announce their comeback.

Their latest outstanding show was at the recent Zimbabwe Music Awards ceremony where they did a combination with Audius Mtawarira at the beginning of the show before closing the event with an outstanding performance.

Famed for songs like “Wanga”, “Buwe Buwe” and “Hello”, the group is working to reclaim glory after eight years of separation. And they are set to make waves with the debut album if the popularity of “Amehlo Ake” is anything to go by.

On the other hand Huggiez Entertainment, steered by Kudzi “Mr Cool” Marudza, Witness “Chuman” Matema and Ronald “D-Train” Chiwanza has always been a reliable old skool music train.

The clique has brought life to Dandaro Inn since they took over Friday and Saturday sessions.

Their combination with Afrika Revenge tonight will add colour to one of Huggiez Entertainment’s eventful Friday nights.

D-Train said they had engaged Afrika Revenge in a first assignment of their combinations with local musicians that would be regularly brought to Dandaro Inn.

“We will combine with many local musicians at our next shows. We will choose groups that appeal to our fans, the mature audience, and Afrika Revenge is one such group.

“We will have more shows featuring similar groups in the future. Our weekends at Dandaro Inn have been good and we want to take the entertainment sessions to another level through the combinations. It is going to be an exciting exercise and we promise the best,” said D-Train.
