would also raise funds to assist members of staff injured in the line of duty. The funds raised at the dinner would go towards the construction of classrooms and other amenities at Murongwe Primary School in Dande. 
“The charity fund has been established to address specific areas of need,” said Air Marshal Shiri.
“The objectives include promotion of education, empowering the disadvantaged girl child, supporting orphans and providing support to members of the force injured in the line of duty.”
Air Marshal Shiri said Murongwe Primary School was in an area that bore the brunt of the liberation struggle and lacked basic infrastructure.
“The AFZ was touched by the plight of these children and their determination to learn even under such conditions. We did not hesitate to make a commitment to make efforts to assist in the construction of structures at Murongwe Primary School.”
Air Marshal Shiri said the AFZ planned to build a computer laboratory and drill a borehole at the school.
