Harare law officer Mr Edmore Nyazamba scooped the best prosecutor award for 2011.
Mr Nyazamba, who is based at the Attorney General’s Office, was showered with accolades including cash at the colourful ceremony marking the end of the 2011 legal year.
Mr Nyazamba was involved in several high-profile cases in 2011. He once worked at Mbare Magistrates’ Courts, Harare regional court before moving to the AG’s Office where he is currently attached to the criminal division. Ms Chenai Chawafambira, a senior law officer in the Civil Division at the AG’s Office in Harare came second while Gweru-based prosecutor Ms Yeukai Mugumba came third.
