FORMER Premiership stars, Pride Tafirenyika and Oscar Machapa, were the stars of the show as an impressive Agents FC proved too good for Jameson FC at Alex Sports Club on Saturday.
The Agents won 3-1 in a pulsating social football battle.
Tafirenyika was on target to cap a fine afternoon with the other goals coming from Vimbai Madamombe, affectionately known as Mbare, and Shingirai Ngwasha.
It was a reality check for Jameson FC, who started the campaign with a four-goal rout in Week One. It won’t get any easier for Jameson FC as their next assignment is a Saturday showdown against bitter rivals Mupanda FC at Belgravia Sports Club.
A total of 36 goals were recorded in the Harare Super League at the weekend.
Mupanda and Royal were the high-scoring teams as they netted five times.
Cowboys are the only side which failed to score in the league. Empire Gym were not in action. Mupanda are calling the shots due to a superior goal difference.
They are tied on six points with K9, who have been the most impressive team in the league, Agents FC and Tachay.
Americans, who have former Sporting Lions midfielder Bothwell Mahlengwe in their line-up, edged Europa 3-2 in what was one of the league’s most exciting fixtures.
Telco are rooted at the basement of the league and they are still yet to win in their first two outings.
Stadic, Touch Power, Empire Gym and Position FC are still winless in their opening assignments.
