“Air Namibia hereby wishes to inform our Travel Trade Partners that effective May 1, 2013, we will offer air travel services for both passengers and cargo, on flights between Harare and Lusaka using one of our Embraer ERJ 135 regional jets.
Air Namibia will fly between Harare to Lusaka on Sundays and Wednesdays, departing Harare at 11.45am and arriving at 12.40pm.
The return trip from Lusaka to Harare will be on Mondays and Fridays, departing at 11.45am and arriving in Harare at 12.40pm.
Air Namibia joins Emirates and Ethiopian airlines that are offering flights between Harare and Lusaka.
Emirates has daily flights between Harare and Dubai via Lusaka. Air Namibia resumed flights in Harare a year ago, almost 13 years after it suspended service.
The airline last flew to Harare in 1998.
Since then the airline has been flying into Zimbabwe four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The Windhoek-Harare route was one of three new routes introduced in the region. The other two include the Windhoek-Ondjiva (Angola) and the Windhoek-Gaborone route, both three times a week.
