THE annual Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Charity Golf Day tees off at Police Golf Club this morning, with 25 teams expected to take part. The event will be officially opened by Air Marshal Perrance Shiri and is aimed at raising funds for the Air Force of Zimbabwe charities.

The airforce is involved in several charity initiatives and this event seeks to raise funds for the less privileged members of the society and a number of charities countrywide.

The format of the game will be the fourball stableford and at least 25 teams have registered to take part in the event. The AFZ Charity Golf Day began three years ago and last year helped in the construction of Murongwe School in Dande, Mashonaland Cen- tral.

Meanwhile, Howard Bauti won his first national amateur golf title when he grabbed the Players Championships at Warren Hills.
