A potentially explosive Zifa Bulawayo Province Division Two encounter is on the cards this afternoon when title chasing Ajax Hotspurs visit Bantu Academy at Gifford High School.

Ajax top the table with 30 points from 12 games and coach Gugulethu Dlomo has made it clear that his charges are aiming for the title.

Ajax go into the game bubbling with confidence following an impressive 1-0 derby victory over Mpopoma Pirates to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.

Chicken Inn are in second place; three points behind the log leaders, and will be keeping close tabs on the table toppers, who cannot afford any slip up.

“We have started the season very well and we hope to continue with the form that we have exhibited thus far. It is still early days, but our goal remains to win the league. It is a tough league, but I’m confident with the side that we have,” said Dlomo.

The Bantu Academy is in ninth place with 16 points from 12 games. It has been a decent start for the academy and they will be hoping to shock the table toppers.

Zenzele Tigers, who have struggled in this campaign, will host Lobengula Stars at Barbourfields Stadium in a bid to save their season that has seen them languishing at the bottom of the table with five points from 12 games.
