It added that al-Bashir directed for working to implement the joint co-operation agreement recently signed between Sudan and South Sudan in Addis Ababa.
In April, Sudan announced closing of its border with South Sudan and declared a state of emergency after South Sudan’s army occupied the oil-rich area of Higlieg before it was restored by the Sudanese army shortly afterwards.
In September, Sudan and South Sudan signed a package of agreements on various issues at the conclusion of a presidential summit between the two countries’ presidents in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Witnessed by the members of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel on Sudan, the two sides have inked three deals on co-operation, security and post-secession. — Xinhua.
