Alexio eyes global market

He stole the hearts of the audience with an outstanding performance of his classic hit songs.

“My target now is to penetrate the international market, starting off with the region. I am currently working towards getting my music to markets like South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia,” he said.

Kawara, who is still riding on the success of his latest album “Tose”, disclosed he would not be releasing an album this year.
However, working on his sixth album and in the spirit of casting his net wider he said he had engaged Metro FM award winner Berita Khumalo for a collaboration.

The “Shaina” hitmaker also spoke of unity among artistes, stressing that uplifting each other comes first before profits.
“I have recently started writing songs for other artistes in an effort to share my expertise. Artistes are supposed to work together and help each other in such areas.

“I am passionate about writing and even if a fellow artiste approaches me for a song, I will gladly write it for them, but then keep the copyright in case the industry decides to pay up,” he said.

Alexio who is known to perform yesteryear’s hits during his shows said it was a way of paying homage to the country’s music legends.
