ALIEN SIGHTING: ‘It was only a comet’

Tendai Chara – Extra Reporter

After sighting a mysterious flying object in Kariba 20 years ago, Debra Nicholson still does not believe in the presence of extraterrestrial beings.

“I do not believe in aliens and UFOs. I do not have an explanation for what I saw,” Mrs Nicholson said.

Another person who saw it, Steve Edwards, also maintains that what was seen was not a spaceship but was a comet.

But he has an even more intriguing take: “What I saw was a comet not a UFO. Some of these things that we see and often refer to as UFOs might actually be human beings of the future looking back to see the past.”

According to Edwards, this “future race” might be coming to see how the “past” race (in this case the humans) are destroying planet Earth through pollution.

According to information gathered by this paper, there were two sightings of alien life forms 20 years ago in Zimbabwe and they occurred within 24 hours of each other.

The first was a group of 62 students from Ariel Primary School in Ruwa who believed they saw a UFO.

The pupils were separately asked to give accounts of what they saw and it is believed what they said and drew were remarkably consistent.

Within 24 hours, another sighting is believed to have been witnessed in Kariba.

These are not the only recorded cases, as it is alleged that “alien sightings” date back to 214BC in the then Roman Empire.

There have been over 140 such claims, with the most recent in Houston in the US where it is alleged several people saw a ring of lights flying during a thunderstorm and this was captured on video.

The object seemed to be transparent but the lights were arranged in a circle with a central light visible on some pictures.
