ORGANISERS of the all-female musical gala, which was held at Pakare Paye at the weekend, have hailed the event after it lived up to expectations.

Sarah Dee, the brains behind the event, has vowed to take the concept to other venues.

“We have a Harare Gardens show, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls and AFAA (All-Female Artists Awards) coming soon.

“We had a nice time in Norton last weekend where the attendance was overwhelming. We really exchanged notes under one roof as female artists,” she said.

She appealed for help and partners to come on board and assist female artists.

“We are willing to work with other artists in our quest to promote the girl child.”

More than 20 female artists graced the event.

Notable names at the event included Lioness, Chido Machanzi and Sehlaphi Mutombeni, among others.

Divas in Action is a clique of new and ambitious female artists.
