UPCOMING sungura artist, Edson “Mwana Gokwe” Kana, is appealing for financial and moral support in his musical journey.

The Gokwe singer is determined to put his Madzivadondo area on the map for the right reasons.

In an interview, Mwana Gokwe said:

“I am currently recording at Dawn Straight Records in Epworth with my band called The Earthquake Attack.

“I want to be a good example to my friends who don’t want to work.

“I am in need of help so that I can reach higher levels like my mentor Nicholas Zakaria reached.”

He told H-Metro his wish was to give back to his community once he makes a breakthrough.

“If I get full support, I would like to give back to my rural home by renovating the schools where I went to school in Gokwe.”

He said that he was inspired by sungura stars like Somandla Ndebele, Tongai Moyo and First Farai.
