Thousands are making their way into Magamba Vocational Training Centre grounds for the Manicaland Youth Empowerment Forum and belated Africa Youth Day commemorations where President Mnangagwa is expected to be the guest of honour.

Africa Youth Day commemorations are traditionally held on November 1, a day that was set aside by the African Union to recognise youths as key agents for social change, economic growth and sustainable development.

The theme for Africa Youth Day 2024 is “1 Million Next Level is Knocking: Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century”.

The theme highlights the importance of educating young people in Africa to be prepared for the 21st Century.

It also underscores the need to build resilient education systems to ensure that young people have access to quality, inclusive, and relevant learning.

We will be giving you live updates on this story.
