All roads lead to BAC

In an interview, event organiser Babongile Sikhonjwa said all was set for the show and people should look forward to a great outing.

“We are still doing the final preparations for the Zahara show that is going to be held on Sunday afternoon,” he said.

The show is going to be curtain-raised by local artistes and among them there would be Otis Ngwabi, Sandra Ndebele, Djembe Monks, DJ Kanajo, Iyasa and DJ Slamma.

“We have decided to put a line-up of our                          local artistes to curtain-raise for Zahara mainly because this is the only platform for them to be known,” he said.

Sikhonjwa said the show would be an all-age event that would provide many forms of entertainment for adults and children.

“We are going to entertain everyone who is going to be part of this event.

“We have made arrangements that will see children being provided with jumping castles and candyfloss while the elderly will be braaing during the show,” he said.

On the other hand Zahara’s fans are looking forward to the much-awaited family show.

Thobekile Ndlovu commended the aspect of having the show in the afternoon at an open venue.

“We are definitely going to attend                        the show as our children will be safe                            since the show will be held in the afternoon at an open venue that accommodates children,” she said.

Ndlovu also took the opportunity to  applaud the organisers, Pandave Entertainment, for bringing Zahara to Bulawayo.

“This might be the show of the year considering that the South African is making waves on regional charts,” she said.

Ndlovu said it was an excellent idea to also involve children in this show as Zahara had turned to be their role model.

“Children really enjoy Zahara’s music and                     their inclusion is more of an honour. Already                       my kids are asking when we will be going to Zahara’s show,” she said.

Zahara broke into stardom              in 2011 with her 12-track              album, Loliwe, that has  popular songs that include My Guitar, Umthwalo, Incwadencani and Loliwe.

Loliwe has seen Zahara winning different South African awards in a short period.

Zahara’s popularity has also seen her charging 75 000 rand for all her shows that she has held in and outside South Africa.
