All set for CUT’s 21st graduation ceremony

The stage is set for the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) 21st graduation ceremony to be held at the institution’s grounds today.

The University Chancellor, President Mnangagwa, will officiate at the event.

Graduands, parents, and guests are currently arriving for the auspicious ceremony, themed “Leveraging Heritage-Based Research and Innovation for Consolidation of National Development Milestones.”

Among the graduands is politician and 2018 presidential aspirant Tendai Peter Munyanduri, who is graduating with a PhD in Engineering Sciences and Technology.

He is among 31 candidates graduating with PhDs.

A total of 2 317 will graduate after completing various undergraduate degrees, while 730 will graduate with postgraduate degrees.

At least 3 100 are expected to graduate today, a drop from last year’s 3 500 graduates.
