“We are going to have at least four races in each class, starting at 11am and all the country’s top go karts drivers will be in action,” Berkau said.
Among the top drivers that will be in action tomorrow is the reigning cadet class champion Cole Onorati, in a 60cc, and will be competing in the 6-12 years age-group. Onorati’s brother, Aidan, will also be at Donnybrook tomorrow competing in the junior rotax class in a 125cc while Christian Berkau is the man to watch out for in the senior rotax class.
“Sunday’s event is likely to attract about 18 drivers — 10 in the cadet class, six in the junior rotax class and 12 in the senior rotax class. We are also introducing a new cadet class, which will cater for the 8-13 years age-group,” Nicholas Berkau said.
Admission charges for tomorrow’s event will be US$5 per car. After tomorrow’s event, the local organisers of karting will stage seven more events at Donnybrook on May 20, June 3 and 17, July 8 and 29, August 4 and September 16.
