As people in South Africa are gearing up for Africa’s greatest horse race, the Hollywoodbets Durban July taking place at the Greyville Racecourse on Saturday, locals are gearing up for the July Festival.

Now in its second edition, the July Festival is set for Friday at The Odyssey in Kadoma. Some of the artistes who will be performing include Enzo Ishall, Master H, Holy Ten, Bling 4, Poptain, PinTec, Mc Tyrateey, and Killer T.

In an interview, one of the event organisers, Dee Nosh shared that the event aims to promote domestic tourism.
“July Fest is now an annual event held in Kadoma to promote domestic tourism as it attracts people from all corners of Zimbabwe. This is its second year and it’s growing steadily.

“Last year, we had Blaq Diamond from South Africa, and it was amazing. This year we decided to go local because local is lekker ‘kana wanyura’,” he said.

The Odyssey is proving to be a sought-after venue for shows in Kadoma, consistently hosting top-notch gigs. It will also be the venue for the Kadoma Music Festival in October, featuring the music industry’s heavyweights such as Alick Macheso, Jah Prayzah, Diamond Platnumz, Winky D, Saintfloew, Gemma Griffiths, and Kurai Makore.
