The stage is set for what promises to be one of Bulawayo’s biggest musical showcases as the Bulawayo Arts Festival (BAF) hosts the Kings and Queens Concert at the Large City Hall on June 4.
The event forms part of the growing list of activities under BAF, which over the years has become one of the country’s notable creative platforms, bringing together artistes, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts.
The annual festival will run from June 2 to 6 under the theme, “Building Bridges, Preserving Connections.”
The Kings and Queens Concert, which is expected to attract music lovers from across the city and beyond, will feature some of Zimbabwe’s celebrated and emerging performers for a night of live music and entertainment.
Among the artistes lined up for the showcase are Mzoe 7, Bhila, Mandie Mae, Macala, Matojeni Melo-Maniacs, MJ Sings, and Phathi Ncube. Cde Phil and Mma Nare are expected to steer proceedings as masters of ceremony.
Powered by the Bulawayo City Council, the show is expected to add colour to the city’s entertainment calendar while reinforcing Bulawayo’s position as one of the country’s cultural hubs.
Organisers said the concert aims to celebrate local talent while promoting cultural exchange and unity through music.
Music lovers have been urged to come out in their numbers for what has been described as an unforgettable night celebrating the richness of Zimbabwean talent.
Organisers are expected to release the full festival programme soon.
