A BEVY of 15 beauties will take part in the Miss Simba Bhora beauty contest in Shamva tomorrow.
The pageant will be held at Wadzanai Stadium.
It will also coincide with the Northern Division 1 football champions’ end-of-year celebrations.
Running under the theme “Give A Girl Shoes And She Will Conquer The World,” the event starts at 3pm.
Speaking to H-Metro, ahead of the pageant, event coordinator and businessman, Caesar Kufandiko, said:
“This pageant (Miss Simba Bhora) is a way of giving back to the Mashonaland Central community for their unwavering support during our campaign in the just-ended Northern Division One soccer campaign.
“There are 15 contestants from the age of 16 up to 25 taking part in the event.
“I urge all the girls to join as they will learn a lot.”
Kufandiko said the pageant was also aimed at empowering the community.
“The programme is part of giving back to the community and supporting the Girl Child by protecting her from early marriages and also empowering her,” he said.
Entertainment wise, he added:
“Freeman is set to perform during the event as the main performer sharing the stage with other upcoming artists.
“Gringo Junior will be the director of ceremonies at the event, it is going to be educational and fun at the same time .
“On that note, I would like to thank Simba Ndoro for giving back to the community and supporting the Girl Children through the initiative.”
