The much anticipated outdoor event in the city of Bulawayo – Munch and Sip – will be held on 28 April as the gig returns to its traditional venue at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds.

This year’s festival promises a vibrant celebration of African cuisine and culture, themed “Taste of Africa.”

The festival aims to showcase the vast culinary potential of Africa’s unique ingredients and celebrate the rich traditions that define its cuisine.

Building on its last year’s success with over 4,000 attendees, this year Munch and Sip promises an even bigger and better with experience for food, culture, and community enthusiasts.

To make it much more exciting , Munch and Sip partner with Castle Lite as their official beverage sponsor.

As a combination, they will curate exciting beer pairing experiences and craft cocktails that highlight the diversity of African-inspired drinks. This collaboration aims to stimulate economic growth within Bulawayo and solidify the festival as a driving force in the region.

The founder and organiser of the event Mandipha said beyond celebrating food, Munch and Sip is committed to fostering cultural exchange.

“This year’s festival boasts a diverse line-up of international and local artistes, including renowned musicians Jason le Roux, Mo-T from Micasa, Dolly Ya Mama, and Zimbabwe’s own Tino Chinyani.

“We have partnership with a travelling agent Better Drive Zimbabwe who has enabled us to establish a camping site in Hillside for both local and visiting festival goers. Special invitations have been extended to international business expo attendees, further enriching the festival’s cultural tapestry,” said Mandipha.
