AS part of their faith and a desire to help those in need, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bulawayo donated groceries to Mustard Seed Orphanage on Saturday.

Ward 3 Councillor Mxolisi Mahlangu said the donation was a way of showing love to the vulnerable.

“The contributions were made by the Mahatshula and Woodville Seventh Day Adventist churches. The aim was to demonstrate love and spread the word of God.

“The donation was made under the stewardship of Pastor Khonzile Khumalo. It was a way to show our love by helping disadvantaged members of our society,” he said.

Cllr Mahlangu said they hope to have similar events to ensure that they help the needy.

“We desire to continue having such donations as a church and help the needy. Moving forward, we aim to have a number of projects in place to support the vulnerable and people with disabilities,” he said.

The donation included foodstuffs, blankets, detergents, and clothing.
