CONSTURCTION of the Premier South footbridge in Ward 25, Mutasa South Constituency is set to commence soon following the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the long-awaited project.

The bridge will cross Mutare River and connect Premier South and Premier Central villages to enhance accessibility and pave way for transformational development in the surrounding areas.

To ensure success of the project, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) will partner other key stakeholders.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution Advocate Misheck Mugadza revealed that US$30 000 has been secured for the project, with construction to be carried out by ZNA engineers from Three Infantry Brigade.

“We have allocated US$30 000 for this project, which will pave way for future developments in the constituency as we strive to build a smart city that attracts investors to Mutasa District,” said Minister Mugadza.

Minister Mugadza emphasised the need for collaboration and diligent efforts among Government agencies to successfully achieve the goals outlined in Vision 2030.
