All set for swimming champs

Bulawayo City Pool will be a hive of activity as swimmers vie for honours in the Matabeleland Championships next week.
Matabeleland Amateur Swimming Board (MASB) chairman Eddie Cyprianos confirmed this in an interview yesterday.
The championships will begin on Monday and run until Sunday.
Traditional clubs such as BG Dolphins, Barracuda, Penguins, Crusaders and SOS are expected to take part in the event.
Victoria Falls’ Zambezi Tigers will take part as usual and are expected to bring a strong entourage capable of standing their own ground against the cream of the city.

Cyprianos said fireworks are expected as all clubs are raring to go.
“This will be a big event and the championships will be very competitive from all the age-groups. People must come in numbers, as all the top swimmers will be there,” said Cyprianos.
