ATZ corporate communications manager Ms Veronica Gutu received the award on behalf of the company at an event where 50 companies were recognised for their business excellence in Rome. Zimbabwe’s minister counsellor in Italy Mr Shepherd Gwenzi represented Ambassador Mary Mubi at the function. The Golden Award handed to ATZ is in recognition of its excellence in executing its mandate in the business of plantation maintenance and other timber production matters.
In addition, it was also recognised for its corporate social responsibility that include assistance in the construction of schools, churches and donations to needy areas. Otherways said the award also recognised ATZ’s environmental policy. Four other Zimbabwean entities also received golden trophies-Harare Institute of Technology, Premier Medical Services, Zimbawe National Road Administration and ZANET, a company in the Information Technology ministry.
Otherways Management has previously presented awards to other Zimbabwean companies like Econet Wireless, TN Holdings and Premier Medical Services.
