THE annual Manicaland amateur golf championships will tee off with over 100 golfers expected to converge at Hillside Golf Club in Mutare this morning.

The two-day event has some national order of merit points. Leading amateur golf player, David Amm, who finished runner-up in last week’s Chapman Grandslam to Sean Crocker, is expected to dominate.

Amm will have to contend with several players who are doing well in the amateur events, who include Stuart Krog, Never Milanzi, Tafara Mpofu and Rasheed Mohamed.

The amateur golfers will next take part in the Midlands Amateur at Kwekwe Golf Club in two weeks’ time.
