Amateur golfers tee off in City of Kings Golf Classic

Teeing off is at 7.30am.

The teams will be made up of four players each and according to Patrick Munanzva, the BGC manager, the event will be a four-ball alliance, two scores to count.
In this format, all the players will swing their club but only the top two scores will be taken into account.

“All is now set, we did our draw yesterday (Tuesday) and we expect the turnout to be excellent,” said Munanzva.
The greens at the 18-hole course are in excellent condition, guaranteeing golfers good playing conditions.

Former Highlanders chairman Roger Muhlwa and his teammates have named their team Tshilamoya. They will tee off just after 8.34am.
Midlands based lady golfer Stella Feldman and her team will commence playing at 8.42am.

Feldman is one of the top female amateur golfers in the country and will certainly want to help her team to prosper.
Rodna Mutasa, who with her partner Oscar Mataruka, won the Servcor Corporate Golf Day tournament at Harry Allen last Friday, with her husband Winston Mutasa, Acy Zerf and Nobert Sebastian are expected to tee off at 9.22am.

Astra managing director Jabulani Nkomo will lead his team, expected to have Highlanders chairman Themba Ndlela, to the greens at 10.18am.-The Chronicle
