TEAM Zimbabwe at the Southern Africa Regional Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation (SARPCCO) Games met Ambassador Anselem Sanyatwe at Uhuru Stadium yesterday.
Ambassador Sanyatwe wished the team well and urged them to work hard to defend their trophy.
“The Zimbabwe team has been the holder of the SARPCCO trophy for the past five years,” said Ambassador Sanyatwe.
“I want to urge all sporting disciplines to work hard to defend the trophy.
“Take this opportunity also to interact with your regional colleagues and unite in fighting transnational crimes,” he said.
Fronted by former international athlete, Superintendent Abel Chimukoko, most athletes spent the better part of yesterday supporting the athletics team.
Head of delegation, Commissioner Abigail Moyo, promised the team will retain the trophy for the sixth time in a row.
