Ambassador Shonhiwa presents credentials to President Xi Jinping

Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to China Mrs Abigail Shonhiwa has presented her credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Twenty-seven representatives of other countries also presentes their credentials.

President Xi welcomed the ambassadors and expressed China’s readiness to support them in achieving their objectives.

He also implored the ambassadors to explore the vast regions of China to gain an indepth understanding of the country.

He said China is prepared to share it’s modernisation with the world as it is not driven by selfish ambitions.

The former Industry and Commerce Permanent Secretary recently visited the Huayang Group in Yangquan, North China’s Shanxi Province.

Ambassador Shonhiwa expressed Zimbabwe’s commitment to promoting a conducive investment environment.

She also highlighted plans to build an industrial park in Matabeleland North Province, which is expected to contribute to agriculture and industrial development across Zimbabwe and beyond.
