Amidu had been hoping to make the same kind of impact that that his former Aces Youth Academy teammate Knowledge Musona made on his arrival at the Soweto side.
However ,Amidu revealed that he is happy at Kaizer Chiefs despite not playing any games since signing in January.
Amidu told the club’s website that he is hoping to get some game time next season.
“I expected to play like every player and I was obviously disappointed that I could not get any game time. On the other side though I understand that at times it can take a while to adjust to the Chiefs way of doing things.
“I featured in a couple of friendly matches including the Reserve League. One has to be satisfied with his progress and I know what is expected of me next season.
“We were given programmes earlier on this week and I will not be resting on my laurels during the off-season. I am going to continue working hard and make sure that when the pre-season starts I am ready to roll,” he said.
Amidu believes that the Glamour Boys will be back in full force challenging for trophies next season. “We will be back challenging for trophies next season without a doubt and I want to be part of it,” said Amidu who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Monday.
