In an incident reminiscent of South African rapper AKAa��s tiff with a fan, songbird Ammara Brown and socialite Rumbidzai Mapeto were involved in a dispute after the former refused to take a selfie with the latter after a performance.

The incident, which took place after Browna��s Shoko Festival appearance which saw her earn rave reviews from watchers, played out on social media where other people on the Zimbabwean showbiz scene jumped in to give their two cents.

Taking to her Facebook page, Mapeto alleged that Brown had refused to take a picture with her, claiming she didna��t know who she was or what she did and hence did not warrant a picture.

Brown for her part claimed that after her high energy performance she had not been in a good enough state to take a selfie, as the result might not be too favourable to the image that the beauty is trying to cultivate.

The incident was another example of how celebrity-fan relationships are changing in the digital age where selfies are now a prized commodity. It reminded fans of another one last week, involving hot headed South African rapper AKA, who shared the stage with Ammara at this yeara��s Shoko Festival. After a show in Cape Town, the rapper had found two fans taking pictures of his girlfriend, Bonang Matheba, who had willingly accepted their request.

The rapper however, got angry on her behalf, reportedly being set off by the fact that they were taking pictures of his girlfriend while she was drunk.

In a fit of rage, he allegedly threw away the fansa�� brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 phone.
