SONGBIRD Ammara Brown may have kept a low profile over the past year-and-a-half after giving birth, but she still has much to offer.
A seasoned performer who has experienced it all, Ammara remains dedicated to her fans.
This Saturday, she will rekindle her “romance” with local fans at the 10th Castle Lager Braai Fest, set to take place at the Glamis Arena in Harare.
She is part of a star-studded line-up that includes Winky D, Saintfloew, Nisha Ts, Nutty O, Tamy Moyo, DJ Tira, Heavy K, Master H, Quonfuzed and Enzo Ishall.
With such an impressive line-up, fireworks are guaranteed.
Ammara, in particular, is expected to capture the attention of many fans after a long absence from public performances.
According to her team, Ammara is in high spirits and determined to make a lasting impression as she reunites with her fans at this significant event.
Her handler, Chido Musasiwa, assured fans that Ammara was ready for the big event.
“As usual, people should expect fireworks on the 18th of October. Right now, we are busy with rehearsals ahead of the event.
“Fans should expect old songs and new ones they have never heard before,” Musasiwa shared. “Ammara has not performed at a big show like this for a year and three or so months.
“She has been looking after her baby, and you know how it is. However, she has been performing at private functions, but the Castle Lager Braai Fest is going to be one of her biggest public shows.”
Known for her well-choreographed acts, consistency has become Ammara’s middle name while perfection makes her a cut above the rest.
She hardly disappoints on stage, as she takes the stage like the CEO’s office where serious business is conducted.
Buoyed by a rich catalogue of party songs such as “Svoto,” “Watchu Want,” “Mukoko,” and “Kure Kure,” Ammara is not only a role model but also a great entertainer who perfects her act under the guidance of her late father, Andy Brown.
Her counterpart, Nisha Ts, has been afforded yet another opportunity to shine at this big occasion. “Nisha Ts is ever ready for any assignment, and this year’s Castle Lager Braai Fest means a lot to her,” according to her manager, Nyasha Chikwindi.
“She is busy with rehearsals ahead of the big event, where we promise nothing but fireworks. Our inclusion in this line-up, where they are marking a huge milestone, means a lot for us and our brand.”
Nisha Ts’ fairy tale continues to rise as she remains involved in major festivals on the local showbiz calendar.
Her camp was upbeat that Nisha Ts has not only been living her dream but also leading by example as a role model to young people.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Enzo Ishall, who has been rewarded for consistency, professionalism and hard work.
“Getting such an opportunity is every artiste’s wish, and performing there is an achievement,” Enzo’s manager, Ngoni Nyamunokora, stressed.
“We are well prepared for this event, where fans should expect two new songs from us and, of course, the old numbers they already know. We are not taking this show lightly since many people will be watching us. “For your own information, Castle is a big brand, and being part of this festival means a lot to some of us,” he added.
Judging by the line-up, imbibers and foodies are in for a real treat after a series of roadshows held countrywide.
The 2025 Castle Lager Braai Fest is expected to be the country’s biggest event promoting gastronomy, tourism, music and, of course, our own lager.
With music, meat and booze galore, this year’s Castle Lager Braai Fest promises to be the biggest yet — a decade-long tradition that keeps bringing Zimbabweans together for a celebration like no other.
