adminAmtec Motors Fast-Tec division has opened doors to grey imports from around the world as the country has seen a rapid increase in the segment since 2008.
The growth of this segment in Zimbabwe has also come about as a result of SMEs buying grey imports as pool vehicles for their business operations.
Fast-Tec which is there for a quick service while customers wait, has been traditionally known to focus on wheel balancing and alignment, windscreens, tyre sales and accessories, suspension parts, exhausts and batteries.
Fast-Tec division is looking at growing its customer base in Harare and other parts of the country where Fast-Tec has workshops.
Fast-Tec has workshops in Harare, Gweru, Mutare and Bulawayo found at Amtec Motors premises.
“The response from corporate and individual owners of these cars has been encouraging since the announcement of service and repairs for grey imports in our Fast-Tec workshops.
“Customers are assured of affordable service excellence coupled with qualified and experienced technicians working on their vehicle,” said Lucas Taruvinga, Amtec Motors managing director.
The move was also meant to offer total solutions package to clients that own a mix of vehicles bought through Amtec’s new vehicle sales and grey imports.
“Customers wanting more information can visit Fast-Tec workshops for service menus and charges”, said Taruvinga in a statement.
The rapid increase of the grey imports segment will enable Fast-Tec to achieve growth of its business and achieve return on investments made in workshop equipment and tools to effectively serve the targeted segment.
