The Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) moot court team is set for India for their debut KK Luthra Memorial Moot Competition.
About 60 teams, from around the world, are expected to take part.
The competition will be held at the University of New Deli from Friday to Tuesday next week.
The ZEGU team consists of Takudzwanashe Chinyemba, Tadiwa Chipunza and Andrew Matyatya.
Nyasha Chiramba is the coach.
Chinyemba said they were excited to be competing in one of the biggest moot courts in the world.
“As a team, we are very excited to be part of it.
“We will be competing with big universities like Oxford and Cambridge.
“It’s a big opportunity for us considering how far we have come.
“We want to enjoy the competition and possibly win it.”
He is optimistic that the team will do well in their debut international competition.
“We took about six months preparing for this competition.
“We are a top-notch university and there is no doubt about that.
““We will stand our ground.”
