Andy Brown remembered 12 years on

The Herald – UNITED Kingdom-based musician, Michael Lannas, is missing the late Andy Brown who succumbed to pneumonia in 2012 at the age of 50.

Brown was buried at his rural home in Mberengwa.

Twelve years after this death, Lannas still has fond memories of the time he shared with his friend.

“Andy Brown was a very good friend of mine. Yet surprisingly we agreed on very little apart from music,” said Lannas in his appreciation post online.

“Two Makaradhi musicians: but Andy was bohemian and nonconformist while I am orthodox and traditional in outlook.

“We both understood that we had to see beyond the confines of the coloured community.”
