A HARARE man, Never Mushayi, 46, yesterday appeared in court accused of participating in the Koala Meats robbery.

Mushayi was remanded in custody to November 15 by Harare magistrate Taurai Manuwere.

Allegations are that on September 13, Mushayi and his accomplices — Kudakwashe Gumbeze and Zacharia Mukambachaza — who have already appeared in court, armed themselves with pistols and went to Koala Meats wheat fields where they held workers hostage at gunpoint.

The robbers got away with US$30 000 and fled with a vehicle belonging to Koala, which they later dumped in Braeside. Shepherd Makonde prosecuted.
