Another opportunity for Last Jesi

ZIMBABWE international striker Last Jesi gets his biggest taste of continental club football when his Al Hilal side take on former African champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a group stage match at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday evening.

Sudanese giants Al Hilal, once home to the legendary Edward Sadomba, are in Group B alongside former champions TP Mazembe and Belouizdad of Algeria.

And Jesi, who also had a feel of the mini-league stage with FC Platinum early last year, gets another chance when his side clash with 2016 champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kick-off is 6pm.

Jesi was impressive for Al Hilal in a recent friendly tournament that featured hosts Simba SC of Tanzania, TP Mazembe and the Sudanese giants.

FC Platinum crashed out of the Champions League in the second round and are now competing in the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs. The Zimbabwean champions host Jaraaf of Senegal at the National Sports on Sunday.
