WARRIORS defender Munashe Garananga could be on the move again, with another European club reportedly showing interest in the Zimbabwean player.
The 25-year-old Warriors centreback has emerged as a potential target for Danish Superliga side Lyngby, who are reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing him in from FC Copenhagen.
According to Danish publication Tipsbladet, talks have already opened between Lyngby, Copenhagen, Garananga and his representatives over a possible deal.
A loan move is reportedly on the table, with the two clubs considering an arrangement that could see the defender remain at Lyngby until January or spend the entire season there.
For Garananga, another move could provide an opportunity to get his career back on track after a frustrating spell with Hibernian last season.
The Zimbabwean defender spent the second half of the campaign on loan at the Scottish Premiership club but managed only two appearances before an injury brought his spell to an early end.
He returned to Copenhagen during the summer and has already featured three times for the Danish giants this season.
However, with competition for places in the Copenhagen defence high, his long-term future at the club remains uncertain.
That uncertainty appears to have caught Lyngby’s attention.
The Danish side are looking to strengthen their defence and reportedly see Garananga as a player who could add experience and depth to their backline.
Garananga joined Copenhagen from Belgian outfit KV Mechelen in 2024 and remains under contract with the Danish club until 2028, giving Copenhagen considerable control over his future.
Interestingly, Lyngby are not the first club to be linked with the Warriors defender in recent months.
Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa were previously reported to have shown interest in signing him, underlining the fact that there remains significant interest in the Zimbabwean despite his difficult spell in Scotland.
For Garananga, the biggest question is no longer whether there is interest in his services, but where his next move will take him.
At 25, regular football is increasingly important.
A move to Lyngby could give him the chance to play consistently, rebuild his confidence and remind everyone why Copenhagen signed him in the first place.
For the Warriors, it is also a development worth watching.
Garananga remains an important part of Zimbabwe’s defensive setup, and getting regular competitive football at club level would be a major boost ahead of the national team’s upcoming assignments.
For now, though, the defender’s future remains up in the air.
