Antipas takes it easy as Premiership race heads into final stretch

the Mighty Bulls’ lead to within one point in the Castle Lager Premiership race.
Antipas says Dynamos have just hit the form at the right form as the league race heads for the crucial home stretch and thereby piling pressure on the Mighty Bulls.

Clubs in the Premiership usually do not train on Mondays, if there are no mid-week games, and Antipas took the break to calm his nerves on the shores of the lake.
To quote David Swing in The New York Times in August, 1880: “the charm of fishing lies in the fact that it’s a pursuit after the unknown and unseen and the ardently expected . . .”
Now the league race is heading for the unknown and Antipas hopes he will catch the big fish, which is the Castle Lager Premiership, with seven games remaining.

The defending league champions Motor Action have seen their lead over rivals Dynamos now slashed to just one point after the last four games.
On Saturday, Motor Action drew 1-1 with Chicken Inn while Dynamos whacked Zimbabwe Saints 4-0 at Rufaro on Sunday to move within spiting range.
Dynamos have come back as strong contenders for the league championship since their former utility player Callisto Pasuwa took over as coach four league matches ago.

But now the Glamour Boys have hit a purple patch, collecting maximum points under Pasuwa while their rivals have dropped points and this has brought an exciting dimension to the race.
Antipas said he will be focusing on remaining calm and maintaining their slender lead until the end of the season than panicking.
“For now the league race is getting very exciting because only one point separates the top three teams.

“Dynamos have come strongly and it’s just that they have hit the right momentum at the right time of the race,” said Antipas.
Interesting, Dynamos will play Motor Action in a game that could have a huge bearing on the destiny of the championship.
“It’s now pressure on us but we have got to handle it well. We have to try to get back to winning ways in the next games,” said Antipas.

The league is taking a break this weekend to pave way for the first round matches of the Mbada Diamond Cup.
