GWAYI Valley Cranes from Matabeleland North will clash with Beitbridge based Sunday Soccer Reloaded FC winners of the Central Region Munhumutapa Challenge Cup Area Zones final.

Cranes who are coincidentally owned by the Zifa Southern Region Area Zones boss Christell Dube, qualified for the penultimate round to represent Matabeleland North after beating teams from five districts that took part.

The participants were drawn from Tsholotsho, Bubi, Nkayi, Lupane and the Conservation Soccer League which draws clubs from Gwayi and Dete areas.

Winners of the final match to be played at Crescent Sports Club on Wednesday afternoon will qualify for the national competition to feature clubs from the Premiership, Division One, lower division and Area Zones.

Dube said the standard of Area Zone football has improved and believes it’s worth Zifa Division Three recognition and status.
