TWO armed robbers posed as overnight guests before drawing their weapons and demanding cash from a receptionist at Future Kings Guest Lodge in Waterfalls in the early hours of Tuesday.
The robbers approached the receptionist, Tinotenda Chipuriro, at around 2am.
One of them brandished an unidentified black pistol while the other drew a knife.
They took US$1 070 in cash and a Samsung S20 Ultra and Gtel Infinity cellphones.
They also took an electric gate remote control, before fleeing in an unknown vehicle.
Harare acting provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, confirmed the robbery and asked anyone with information, which could lead to the arrest of the suspects, to come forward.
“One of the accused jumped over the counter and ordered the complainant to lie down.
“They also ordered the security guard to lie down and opened the cash box in the reception room and stole cash and items with a total value of US$1 650,” said Ass-Insp Mapisa.
